For my project, I have chosen to combine the world of nature with the world of Kitsch. 

In nature there is a reason for everything; each leaf, butterfly and tree is a natural element that is part of a greater life cycle.

There is no purposeless decoration in nature; every decorative element has a function that is conveyed organically.  In contrast, every object in the world of Kitsch is created to serve as a decoration, demonstrated by an overload of loud colors and the desire to make cheap materials look expensive.

My hybridization is expressed through silhouettes taken from Kitsch combined with textures and colors from the natural world, with an emphasis on an unexpected combination of color, shape and texture to create a new harmonious entity.
